The weekly challenge of ‘Together’ came at a good time. I watched a programme about 2 Italian chefs visiting their homeland and talking about something called ‘La Bella Figura.’
It means the beautiful figure, but it is not about physical beauty as such. It is about pride, style – not fashion, enjoying life, good food, providing for your family and enjoying simple pleasures.
It is about having a connection a ‘togetherness’ a harmony with yourself and everything around you. So, I have chosen a selection of images that for me represent togetherness and the good life
Clockwise we have, 1. Me and my dad playing, 2. Part of a garden my husband designed and planted, 3. A gift I made for a friend to make chocolates seem more personal, 4. My favourite view behind us, mountains and snow, 5. My mum with my brother and me on holiday, 6. The most contented Pigs I have ever seen, sleeping in the sun!
So, there we are. Enjoy your life, enjoy your family and enjoy the simple things – like a snooze in the sun! Or today as the weather is so terrible I am enjoying a fantastic coffee with my homemade muffins and planning what I will plant in my garden when the weather gets better!

Lovely sentiment, ‘La Bella Figura.’ That first photo is my favourite – the overly yellow tones of colour photography in its infancy, so evocative of an bygone era.Thanks for the pingback!

I liked the fresh pressed minimalist living post a while ago – but I am not quite ready to throw out loads of stuff yet! I think this life style suits me more

what a great take on this week’s challenge. the family moments are sweet. the garden looks beautiful, and the gift looks like fun. unusual seeing a pig in the grass – i would have thought it might have preferred wallowing in some mud
